Counter Terrorism raids in Victoria

A 31-year-old man, believed to be a notorious right-wing extremist, was arrested by Special Operations Group members.  Victoria police counter terrorism command Assistant Commissioner Ross Guenther​ said that earlier this year they had received information that suggested there were individuals  or an individual looking at either advocating harm against Victorian individuals.  It is understood the man is a member of the anti-immigration group Reclaim Australia, who served jail time last year for possessing tasers and mercury.

I'm totally over our tolerant society.

Anyone who is planning any sort of extreme or violent action should be put away.

I couldn't care less about political views, left or right.

And I am not that sympathetic simply based on age.

I'm in Melbourne where the Apex gang is running riot, where they can bash and terrorise people at will and get off with cautions, where they can blatantly hop on/off public transport without paying and orders are not to stop them. When they get caught they get off because they are under age. They wouldn't in USA.

We've got muslim extremists who hate us and plan to create havoc.

We have others who go the other way and will bash up people based simply on race or religion.

As far as I am concerned there should be one set of laws for everyone here. Everyone should be free to go about their business and lives as they wish but if you are violent and creating havoc, there should be serious consequences.

I think a little bit of healthy fear of consequences would be a good thing.

the police have been saying they have that Apex group under control Springyzone - apparently they've made lots of arrests, but they are a scary lot.

this latest  arrest shows that any extremism is dangerous, this bloke had something to do with those Reclaim Australia nutters

i also hate that we have to put up with those battles between the reclaim Australia group and whoever it is that opposes them. I agree with Dan Andrews that those hiding behind masks should just be arrested, we and the police shouldn't have to put up with that garbage in our streets.

What those stupid "Reclaim Australia" fanatics don't seem to get, is that the only people with a moral right to reclaim this land are the native indigenous people of Australia.

Everyone else, even if born here, stems from another country. Their parents, ancestors came here as convicts, refugees or migrants.

Those fanatics are the root of all evil in this world. We just have to look around and see someone claiming to have more right to a certain piece of land and starting a war regardless of how many of their own people will loose their life.

I am not a hateful or vengeful person, but I hate those that strife for war against others.
