Who, here, has given any thought about how many germs could be on their phone - let alone the Corona virus?
(I shudder when I think of how many people take their phones to the toilet with them)
Your phone should be disinfected as often as you wash your hands.
I know this link is American, but the cleaning methods still apply

You can't disinfect everything.
Bacteria are an integral part of the environment. You'll never be able to live gerrn-free. In fact, the more exposure you have, the more your immunity system will be able to resist them.
Having said that, I don't take my phone to the 'loo, and I always wash my hands after having been there.
I frequently wipe down my phone screen , computer keyboard and mouse, but not all the time.
I don't get obsessive about it.

It does make sense to me, given that we carry our mobiles when out and about, touch them with our hands and place them on the sides of our faces. I've also thought about my bank card which I use to pay for everything when shopping. But where do we draw the line? I think I would get serious if I were to learn that coronavirus was in my suburb.

At the same time think about the touch screen of the ATM and the supermarket self-service checkout .....think how many fingers have prodded them previous and where thay might have been
As for me , am on the lookout for anti-bacterial "one-finger" fabric thimble for those occasions

What about the bottoms of our handbags? Look how often they get put down on the bonnet of the car, on benches, counterrtops, in shopping trolleys, hung up on the back of public toilets, put on the floor, in the boot of the car, etc.
I wipe mine over every now and again, but not religiously.

Good point.
But I never put my handbag down on a kitchen bench/table, even before this virus.
As for toilet floors, I wear a cross body bag and don't put it down anywhere, nor hang it behind the door.
I no longer drive, so it's sits in my lap in the car.
I also wipe mine, but again, not religiously.

Yeah, but that's you.
How many others don't worry too much about it?

Quite honestly - not quite sure where - a handbag is needed.
I stick my debit card in my pocket - house & car keys in another.
Then drive.

OK, ya got me.
Yep, I'm OTT OCD
As for others, maybe they haven't given it a thought, and now they will, now that you've brought it up.

Driver's licence? ID? Tissues? Some mints for the dragon's breath?
Also hard to drive with the car keys in the pocket hahahaha

Once sitting in the car - the keys are where they should be. lol
Tissues - glove box.
Just did my teeth - no mints needed.
