I was just wondering if anyone here would be interested in being in a Cup Sweep.
It's sort of a Melbourne tradition, even for non gamblers.
Of course, a board cup sweep would be for fun only, no money involved.
How it would work is simple. If people want to be in it, they just say so, then before the cup I could enter the names, pull out the horse names and let people know what horse or horses they have before the race.
Obviously, there are no prizes except the honour and glory of having had the winning horse.😅
We used to do this on another board I was on and it was all a bit of fun. We had first, second and third place winners plus an honorable mention for whoever had the last horse!
If you'd like to be in it, just add your name.

My horse romped it home!
Oh, I know I created a gondola emoticon… When I’m at my computer, I’ll find it.
I should have put some money on the horse.

But, but....Countess didn't win.
Her cat did.

My cat made a deal with me… share and share alike. I have his paw print on an agreement!

He's not well, it was under duress.
BTW what are those horsie things Dom posted a pic of?

OK - mine is still running. lol
The horsie thingys - wait for it - now this is for the horse who has everything.
Horses have a habit of scratching - they love trees with branches they can rub on.
What this does is wear the hair - lol - they can get bald patches - no comment from the men here.
So what you do is screw these little numbers to the trees - they are gentler on the rub - and don't take out the hair.
Great conversation with DD - OK - so ' how high do you know - to screw them ' - ahhh??
Which trees are their favs. ??
The best bit - there are no trees thick enough to screw these - OK - back to the drawing board.
Today - both are content.

Thank you springy.
I am pleased for Beau Mertens who rode Sheraz.
He lost his dad Peter ( a great rider) earlier this year.

Ichabod Sebastien, have I got a prize for you!
Yes, I am sure you'll be surprised to learn that you and a close friend will be whizzing away on an all expenses paid holiday to-VENICE!!
Naturally, Ichabod, you & the Countess will both be flying first class.
So sit back, enjoy the view and maybe indulge in a cuppa in total luxury.
Once you arrive, you will both be embarking on a quintessential Venetian experience with a private, serenaded gondola ride through the famed canals of Venice.
Glide past magnificent cathedrals and palaces on a hand crafted gondola while some of our top musicians serenade you with mood-setting Italian ballads.
Ichabod, we're sure you will both enjoy the holiday of a lifetime!
