Custard slice

Morning all. A while ago there was a thread which had some recipes for simple custard slices. I can't find it now. I need to make something like that today. Can anyone help me please?

If you have Puff Paste sheets in the freezer or Filo Pastry?

Cook off three sheets puff paste or 3 x 3 Filo

Puff paste is best. remeber to dock it.

One sheet, glaze with egg yolk and sprinkle with castor sugar (so that it will caramelize whilst cooking.

If you want to be fancyish, thinly slice some sort of fruit like an apple or pear or peach - fan on top and sprinkle more sugar on it and it will caramelize.

........................................

Basic Custard

...................................

sandwich two cooked sheets together with jam

then layer of custard

then top sheet of pastry - like a sandwich

portion - serrated knife

or use sweet biscuits like Freddie said

..............................

Basic Pastry Crรจme or Crรจme Pรขtissiรจre

Some people can go their whole lives and never really live for a single minute.

I don't think I've ever had custard and maybe they have different names there, but in this thread are similar looking deserts.

What page Joz, the one I looked for nothing? Are you saying I should try one or the OP?

I'm not big on desserts, but I do have a question for you. I'll post it on your music thread....with a tune!
