vanilla only belongs in cheesecake if you wish it to be that flavor. if you want traditional cheesecake,BIG nono!

yep, the vanilla is too strong a flavour but..........my lunch guests just left and after I told them what happened with the cheesecake, they still wanted to try it and..........they liked it.
I wouldn't purposefully do it again but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be......still FA material though ! lol

My new custard favourite is Portuguese tarts, I haven't tried making them myself though.
p.s Lurker - I always buy a Custard Square when in NZ, $1.50 !

Custard squares over here are huge, I cant even eat one.
I hate Vanilla in any thing. I hate it when people ruin Cream by putting Vanilla and sugar in it Yuk yuk yuk

i make a vanilla cheesecake now and then,with a cinnamon and chocolate ganache on top,almond crust,you might like that.
