Well Flo is almost dead, she's been struggling for breath for many days now. 😞
She has almost choked at least once.
Apparently, respiratory disease is a common thing chooks ?:|
The other chook(Poppy) is happy and seems far more relaxed now the bossy Flo is immobile, is a separate cardboard nesting box and not eating.
Flo must have really been a bully, she was always the dominant one, but very friendly to people.
Poppy is almost friendly now.
Flo is looking so sick but I can't quite get up the nerve to kill her. :_|
I don't know how much longer I can watch her suffer though.

Time to grab the axe annie !!
umm, well, maybe hand it to someone else to use ? Would be very hard todo ((()))♥
Will be interesting to see how much poppy comes out of her shell (so to speak) :^O
Hey clair !!! have you gone camping ??????
Does anyone else here do what I do for NYE?
I prefer getting up REALLY early on New Years Day and watching the sun come up for the new year.
What are you chook people doing ?

Well, Flo's body has been taken away in the rubbish truck. I couldn't bring myself to bury her in the garden.
Poppy seems lonely and runs to look at me whenever I make a noise in the yard.
I guess I should get one or two more chooks, but I've heard you shouldn't mix young chooks with older ones (as strangers).
Unfortunately, Poppy has never shown any signs of being clucky.

Hi peeps I'm back for a bit, I went camping and soul I was, as always in bed by 10 NYE ;\
So sorry to hear that annie 😞 I cried when my favourite rooster Mr Billy Crow died. My hen has come good but she had a respiratory problem as well, I did not know it was a common thing with chooks until googling recently. She had a white eye, after googling the first time I thought she had worm eye 😮 but then I noticed it was foam, foam eye which is symptoms of a respiratory disorder. It;s supposed to be very contagious but all the other chooks are good and she has come good?
annie I'm going to private message you through here, you will see an envelope at the top of your page

And I think soul was probably right, time to grab the axe but I never could do it myself.

Someone wrote on fb "41 degrees and I'm secretly loving it"
First I thought strange comment then I thought when it snows up here I secretly love it and feel the snow flakes on my face
