DO NOT KNOCK STICKER - still getting door knockers

We have the official ACCC "Do Not Knock" sticker on our door which makes it a criminal offence for any person to knock on our door.

Yesterday we had a door knocker.

Today another door knocker.

Are these people not capable of reading English OR are they simply dumb and dumber?

Boris,  I think ufo got mixed up.  It's not a criminal offense but it's

the same as the Do Not Call Register for your phone.

There are fines for people/companies that breach it.

I don't like 'em knocking cos they wake me up every time!   Cranky

I dont have any stickers on my door and we dont get any door knockers, but then we live in The Dandenongs..........maybe too hilly for them to walk up.

Did have some religous mob a few months back, but I met them at the gate and told them not to bother and to tell who was in charge not to bother knocking on my door...........they just walk straight past now!

It is an offence to knock if the official ACCC sticker is there!

Next time someone knocks I will have my video recorder record the whole incident. I will ask for their details and then ask them to leave.  The footage will then be handed to ACCC so they can prosecute the individual and the company they represent.

I have a sticker, and must say it has been effective. Except for the telco pest. I asked him if he had seen the sign, and he said yes but didn't think it meant him. lol.

I have one of these on my front door. and so far, it has worked very well. 🙂

You can ONLY take legal action against the offenders IF you have the ACCC sticker any other stickers are a waste time.
