The revelation of Daniel Andrews' $3.3 billion blowout on his "signature" West Gate Tunnel project is just another blow to the "punch-drunk electors and taxpayers" of Victoria, according to Sky News host Peta Credlin.
"You may remember that when Daniel Andrews was first elected, he tore up contracts signed by the former Napthine Liberal government to build the East West Link," Ms Credlin said.
"It didn't matter that construction was already underway, Andrews killed it off because he had a pre-election deal with the Greens and as a result, taxpayers were forced to pay out a billion dollars in compensation, for contract breach.
"A billion dollars not to build a new, much needed road.
"And in place of the cancelled East-West link, the Andrews government accepted a near-substitute proposal from Transurban, to build the West Gate Tunnel instead.
"It was never the best option, but it's turning out to be just another one of the Andrews government disasters inflicted on long-suffering Victorians.
"Now it's a project that's stalled before it's barely started, with a near $7 billion dollar original cost, now looking like well over $10 billion, and no completion date.
"It's hard to credit, isn't it. Just another blow to the punch-drunk electors and taxpayers of Victoria."
But Victorians think he's the best thing since sliced bread!

It's often been said that John Howard is the worst PM that Australia ever had. IMO he certainly didn't score well in the honesty department. Andrews whilst similar to that figure, seems to emulate dictators of the non-Western variety (There's that Khmer-thing again) while HoWARd seemed to emulate a dumb ๐บ๐ธ๐ณ shrub.
Many people are now looking ahead to what the future holds for the people of Victoria. In the minds of many, the damage due to Andrews' reign will be a long lasting legacy.

I would be interested in your views on the opposition parties in Victoria. What do they to offer, other than not being Dan? OR, do you advocate for a leadership change within the government?
Letโs discuss!

What you get if Dan is thrown out of office is a Liberal government whose leader dines with Calabrian Mafia bosses. Probably friends of Amanda Vanstone.

If Daniel Andrews is under investigation by IBAC โhe must stand downโ: Credlin
October 06, 2021 - 18:22PM
Itโs pretty clear Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews is under a corruption investigation by IBAC, in which case he โmust stand down,โ according to Sky News host Peta Credlin.
The Age has reported Victoriaโs ICAC equivalent, the Independent Broad-based Anti-Corruption Commission, has been โexamining the conduct of Premier Daniel Andrews and a senior public servant over their role in controversial deals that benefited the firefightersโ union and its boss, Peter Marshall.โ

โI behave appropriately at all timesโ: Premier insists he has always acted with integrity
By Sumeyya Ilanbey and Michael Fowler
October 6, 2021 โ 12.12pmPremier Daniel Andrews has insisted he has always acted with integrity, after it was revealed an anti-corruption probe was investigating his dealings with the firefightersโ union to broker a resolution to a long-running industrial dispute.
โIf you want to know whatโs going on at IBAC [the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission], who theyโre talking to, what theyโre talking to them about, then you should go and have a chat to IBAC,โ Mr Andrews said.
โEven with around-the-back-door questions like that, [I wonโt] be providing any other answer. And as for standards... I behave appropriately at all times. Iโm focused on always doing what is the appropriate thing to do.โ

Well, he's not the first politician to say that he has acted with integrity and he won't be the last.
Humanity with sigh with relief if he goes!

@4channel,
okay, letโs discuss . . . I would be interested to read your views on the opposition parties in Victoria and whether they would be ready to govern?
Also, you have posted about how you favour Labor over Liberal, so are you simply advocating for a leadership change within the Victorian Labor Party?
Finally, are you a Victorian?
Happy to discuss any or all of these with you anytime, if you are up to it!

Personally icyfroth I think Andrews should be replaced immediately before he does any more harm.

Sack the Victorian government? This is no time to revive the divine right of kings
by Anne Twomey
Constitutional expert
A quick glance at Twitter these days, particularly in Victoria, will show that a lot of people have given up on democracy.

I remember watching a documentary about a tele evangelist who's star had risen in a few years. He believed he was a type of god. Yes a mini God. IMO, there's no doubt that Andrews has tickets on himself.
