Dangerous behaviour

Just to clarify right from the start
I'm not into sports
Especially ball sports
The manner of the celebration of Richmond's win
To me was verging on dangerous
Is it really necessary to light flares and then throw them into the crowd
One man was arrested for setting fire to a sign
I've always been repelled by the personalities of some football supporters
Being bullied at school for not being sports orientated probably created my distaste for ball sports
I still face judgement for not supporting a footy team
Maybe I'm just a wowser and the possibility of receiving burns due to being struck by a randomly discharged flare just adds to the excitement of your team winning

Re: Dangerous behaviour

I do follow several sports, some of them ball sports.

I totally agree with you about the danger of flares, especially when combined with alcohol.

They should only ever be used in controlled or emergency situations, preferably by those trained in their use.

So no, you're not a wowser, just a person with common sense (which can be quite unusual at times).

Re: Dangerous behaviour

I didn't watch it so know nothing about it but for sure, it sounds ridiculous to throw flares into a crowd. Extremely dangerous.

Re: Dangerous behaviour

Definitely should be arrested.

Would have been better advised to wear my contemporaneous bright lime green velvet ones.
