As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Looks like most of Australia could do without a 'best friend' like Abbott....

THEY left town long ago.... that is why the FOCUS in the media CURRENTLY and in this thread is about ABBOTT and his cronies now.
Did Rudd or Gillard have any input into Hockey's Budget??? That budget and the measures proposed in it are the major source of media attention CURRENTLY.
monman - I have never seen you critisize NW sources for their quotes... usually the DT or some 'independent' Liberal facebook page or worse still no source mentioned.

I thought that was what you meant , greencat, thought it was worth expanding on it.

Past a joke now really, this 'best friend' 'slogan.
Meet Clive Palmer, Tony Abbott's new nightmare best friend

"monman - I have never seen you critisize NW sources for their quotes."
Well you have not been paying attention because I always check definitive statements, and NW has been criticised by myself in the past (research). This time I checked and found that NW had correctly posted what the AMOWA main site indicated was their funding protocols.
I think you are overlooking that the source I/NW quoted was : Australian Meals on Wheels Association (AMOWA) , and you are posting references from State branches such as: Victorian Meals On Wheels Association Incorporated. (VMOW, Meals Victoria now Meals on Wheels Victoria)
So as you like red:
"The Australian Meals on Wheels Association Inc. is not funded by Government and exists only on the fees collected from members and subscribers and the goodwill of sponsors.".
I would suggest you discuss with AMOWA what they have written on their site.

"passé" ? How could one forget the Circus act with its clowns and knife act?
Then again I do understand the necessity for bad memories to be erased/forgotten.

It is rather odd and unusual. What is the point of continually commenting on a past Govt, it is a current one that is under the microscope.
Should we ignore every thing the current Govt does and spend our days commenting on past events instead?

What has that got to do with today's Govt and how they operate (current events)? Do you get tired of posting that sort of stuff all the time, because we get tired of reading the same old repeated out of date stuff?
The title of this thread says ... Diary of our.... Govt.... not what happened pre Sept 2013.
A new thread titled - The Circus Act.. clowns and knives... might suit you better.

It has a lot to do with today's Govt, because if it hadn't been for the Rudd Gillard double act of dissention putting the voters off Labor, we may have had an entirely different Govt at the helm.
So we can thank the previous government that we have to put up with all the hysterical gibbering going on here about Mr Abbott for the next few years.
