Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Not a bright bunch those LNP politicians and young Liars and Nasty People.....

Good manners and a sense of right and wrong is not that hard to understand.

For these silly kids to miss the obvious point of treating other people with respect points to a serious malfunction in the way they have been brought up by their parents and their own independent ability to have insights into their own motivations and actions.

Probably because  Poor Me  Gillard from Wales, and her 457 visa chief communications divisor McTernan from Scotland,  proved that the country might do better with home grown  POLITICIANS rather than imported ones .

You forgot some.

Tony Abbott, born in London (UK), Eric Abetz born in Stuttgart, Germany,

Yes, the country would do better, especially without those two imported ones

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

I see where in April 2014

Mike Rann’s new job as Ambassador to Italy will see him living like a Roman emperor in a $32,000 a month taxpayer-funded apartment........

Mr Rann and wife Sasha Carruozzo will live in the four-bedroom apartment with swimming pool just one kilometre from the world-famous ancient Roman Forum and Colosseum.

The home is leased by the Federal Government and is understood to have been empty since former ambassador David Ritchie left in November last year.

The Department of Foreign Affairs admitted Mr Rann’s Rome apartment at Via di Sant’Angelo cost “AUD 32,441.35 or EUR 25,307.50’’ a month.

The five-bathroom apartment has been the ambassador’s temporary home since major renovations on the official residence in the northern suburb of Parioli began in 2012.

The apartment’s huge rental cost, which works out to more than $1000 a day, can be revealed as the Federal Government warns of a horror May budget aiming to slash spending and reign in an $18 billion deficit.

Mr Rann was earning almost $500,000 a year from his state MP pension and wage as High Commissioner to UK.

.........probably does all his heavy lifting carting fresh fruit from local markets in his basket up the lift to his apartment.Smiley LOL
