As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

I did read an article recently that abbott cannot get away with his lying due to social media, thats probably quite right, lots of scrutiny these daysYes, I read that too, not sure if I read it in a news article quoted here or one I read online.
He gets away with the lying by telling more lies, name calling and slander.
As he uses the term collegial frequently he also behaves and uses language as if he's in a school yard, frequently.

"I can't quite see Mrs A sitting or lying on the floor with the babies, because director or not, that's what you have to do.
Unless she is a "look but don't touch" director. She is part-time, I believe, so maybe doesn't get involved."
Probably does a s load more than you ever will.
You cant even give credit where credit is due.
If you actually read what is written about her out there, she goes about things quietly but does get involved and
actually said in one article that she can be in a sand pit one day.

I'm not sure what the article is trying to say, because it seems paradoxical - That the best way to debate a subject is to simply walk away and avoid confronting it?

Yep murdoch press, leaves me cold, sorry!
I haven't campaigned to ban anything or shut down debate, the Murdoch papers only print what they want people to think anyway, whether it's true or not and their TV presenters shut down debate by yelling over the top of any opposing views so I find them to be, well hypocritical amongst other things never watch their shows like bolt, Kenny, never read their papers
Well now, that explains why you have such a lop-sided view
