As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

*GST due figures wrong in my previous post.
That won't go unnoticed 😄
The truth is in Australia women just don't like Tony Abbott.
That is a big problem for the LNP. What will they do about it?

to amber:
With a storage issue, AP is promoting to all of us the ease of using their parcel locker pick up points. So they have storage for parcels (according to them, in theory, for parcels galore). In reality they might need to hold parcels at warehouses...maybe send the letter. We pay online or in the post office. Then, they deliver it. So it doesn't need storage at the local post office.
however it is managed it will be interesting.

What do the present PO Contractors out of their jobs?
Do you actually know the parcel figures/volume of parcels atm?!!!!
Do you realise what you are suggesting here and size of w/houses reqd?!!!!!!!!!
How many parcels would go missing doing this locker p-up shy te?
Which are you suggesting-parcel locker p-up points? -or- Delivery? Can't do both.....or explain how AP could possibly fund both pls.

That he is probably the biggest liar this side of the Equator.........
anything else inter-esting?

mmmhhh ok you got me there. i can't think of it for the life of my mother.
it was sorta hypothetical.
i am a tad unimaginative i have to admit. i also can't imagine why a woman would want to be with a violent misogynist either. ...or have one as the leader of the country said woman lives in and thus shape the laws which might infringe on said womans rights.
...or perceived rights or whatever. just you go and iron your masters mans shirts and shut up. for bleeps sake! remember your place!

Paints, ALL our parcels currently go through AP if they are to be delivered by them. That is millions a year. That doesn't change if there is a change to the threshold, and AP needs to collect GST. The parcels are in the system regardless, moving through warehouses.
AP wants all of us to do the delivery contractors out of jobs by pushing their parcel pick up points. They have been doing so with flyers etc. for at least a year. My closest pick up point is a 20 minute drive. But...AP is suggesting we all do it. Saving them the complete delivery cost.
as to where parcels would be stored, they would have to be stored wherever AP currently stores them as they move around for eventual delivery.
If AP collects any fees/charges, in the future, that is 🙂 purely speculative right now.
oh, and I wasn't suggesting it. AP is. You appear to have misread my post.
also, AP has both pick up points and the usual delivery, right now. So they are funding both, right now. As well as warehouses to manage millions of parcels.
whether they deliver before or after any payment is collected, they are performing the same action.

well, if they were more intelligent than ..... an amoeba they would have known that "voting labor out" means "voting TA in".
