Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

He became PM partly because most of Aus was sick of the boats and non stop FAKE Asylum seekers
And he promised to stop them, which he did. That was a major factor.

I know, lets say centre lefties that shifted from AS support to supporting stopping the boats and putting them in the luxury accommodation they are in.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

So he didn't become PM because of any great personal attributes or leadership skills then? Correct. Only because people didn't want Rudd or Gillard.. now they see that wasn't a good idea.

V300: Some parts of the economy are going gangbusters, flat out. kudos blue up.jpg

Sometimes V300 I think that it is only gangbusters for some when their  "gimme gimme" is answered with pre election hand feeding .

Now in the current  Govt's rose smelling world of real economics:

Telstra Corp Ltd (TLS.AX)
6.67 Up0.07(1.06%)

I bought some in  tranche 1,  and then a lot around $3.00 some years 3 ago which are now returning nearly 14%. with the sweet fragrance of their FF dividends?:

If this is a " stinking Govt." may they continue to languish in a large  bed of  titan arums, not forgetting that it was the ALP attempts to run a NBN/blackmail Telstra,  which added to my bottom line (and a few million other investors).kudos blue up.jpg

(sorry A3,  I digressed into the forbidden days of the Circus and the Poor Me and Rudd act) kudosR down.jpg

A dividend by any other name would smell as sweet. With the added "dividend" of the resident Myops and their cathartic bleats.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Yes, agree.

Someone mentioned earlier that all Abbott has done is dismantle what was put up by prudd , gillard.

Well a lot of what has been dismantled has been lefty ivory towers, like the Zgovt funding Asylum Seeker appeals.

All these type of things need to be defunded. You want to appeal, you pay for it or get those lefty lawyers to do it Pro Bono.
No way should the govt fund it.

Thats like the Govt funding a murderers appeal against his sentence.

What were you expecting? They're all in it for personal gain, whether that be pats on the back or fame, or money. Really, get a clue.
