As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Criminal investigations
The Australian Crime Commission (ACC), Australian Federal Police (AFP) and Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) are all undertaking criminal investigations as part of Project Wickenby.
Criminal investigations into illegal offshore schemes involving false deductions and concealed income and **gains are often complex and can require a lot of time and resources. A single investigation may involve a number of promoters and many intermediaries and participants.
**Very unwise of the Abbott Govt to slash thousands of staff in the ATO, if it is serious about catching tax avoiders.
The ATO are seriously persuing people with outstanding tax returns. Keeping the courts busy.
Too late for that powder, the spill is on.

It's all a bit scripted.
The people making the noise and calling for the spill are all of the anti Turnbull brigade, like they're getting in first to make sure MT does not get a look in for the top job.

They would be foolish to choose anyone else, I can't think of any winners in their team, if Turnbull wins their party has a good chance of staying in power for another term. I personally want Abbott to stay but will enjoy seeing him squirm a bit.

I was doing the ironing!
The fact that IT's ON gets the big tick.
Blinkers off now those who prefer Abbott as PM.
That will teach him for targetting the poor, sick & elderly.

They would and they are.
Note the swipe at Turnbull in the spill email. These people don't want him as leader. The nats don't want him. I think it's all a big show to deflect from the TTP and whatever else Robb is up to and to ultimately confirm abbott as leader with the promise he will change is ways.
It's rather funny that he only lasted half as long as Rudd before the noddies called for his blood to be spilt.

So what is your prediction glee? I think Malcolm is playing it cool, the more he says he isn't interested the more they will want him.
They must know that Morrisson doesn't have any appeal to the public, it is not what THEY want, they have to think what the public will swallow.
