Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

So what is your prediction glee? I think Malcolm is playing it cool, the more he says he isn't interested the more they will want him.

They must know that Morrisson doesn't have any appeal to the public, it is not what THEY want, they have to think what the public will swallow.

Mmm, don't know yet.  I suspect it's all a game and a distraction until abbott can find another distraction like a good old war or terrorist attack somewhere.

I am going to the pub tonight, I might leave my handbag there and see what happens, it is very suspicious looking Woman LOL

mm12 - The Australian article posted -   re corporate tax rate ( you ran with that) vs corporate tax take (which was what the article stated)

I assume you agree, that you didn't read it properly and it was you that made the mistake, seeing as you appear to be remaining silent on this issue despite polite requests for you to clear this up. As in making a big point of telling me to do research and that the Australian was wrong.

Never fear. He will start posting "your" error again tomorrow and reminding you how wrong your were to post a segment from The Australian article.    Anyone would think a good old independent journalist wrote it.  One of those ones who were good as long as they wrote for Murdoch then suffered a distinct lack of ability once they went freelance.

Anyone quoting from an article from msm like The Australian shouldn't need to research the whole content of the article before posting it.

Never seen the above nit pick the gazillions of Pickering Posts we used to have posted here... now those are full assumptions not based on facts!

If that is what he is doing, it is a very sensible move by him then.

Smart thinking !

You really need to give more detail in your posts.. no one reading that knows who 'he' is and what his move was.

would still make no sense whatsoever.Woman LOL

Nor did he nit pick the attacks on the CSIRO and BOM recently.  The decision to attack must come down to who posted the information.
