Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

And you lot reckon Shorten is ready to be PM ?

Jesus, he was given a perfect opportunity on a silver platter and he blew it, launching into the standard tirade

from the book.

He could have just said, Yes, of course I am, and then launched into why but no, he blew it.

Sadly it does not matter what happens on Monday or whether there is a new leader or not. The problem is with their polices, unless they change, nothing changes.

So, 61-39... Still means a lot of dissent within the LNP.

SMH Live

9:23am: This is not a good result for Mr Abbott.

He retains the leadership but 39 MPs (out of 101 who were present) have cast what is essentially a vote of no confidence in him.

This means the leadership issue is far from resolved.

Sore loser who got it wrong, Big time.

Even you said he needed to win well and he did win well, FAR more than you expected.

The LEFT are the Canibals who eat their own and then still lose.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Dream on. That result is a disaster. No confidence 40% in their leader. No need to add anything else, speaks for itself.

9:30am: Labor will be thrilled about this result.

The Opposition has been coasting with Mr Abbott as Prime Minister.

Now Labor has the situation of continuing to confront an unpopular prime minister and knowing the government's leadership problems will continue.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Why is Am a sore loser? The vote wasn't for or against her.

This was round one vicr. Abbott will face future party room leaks etc. from now on and still has very low numbers in the polls. A large number of his back benchers ( all individually voted for in their electorates) have shown they want him gone.

I bet the labor party is happy with the result though , lol
