Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

It's wonderful for people who currently held shares in the ASX, not so good for those who rely on interest on their cash accounts to live. Nor is it going to be a "feel good" story for those who piled into the market at the top end of prices in desperation due to those low interest rates.

I don't understand why people want to turn a blind eye or try to excuse the current circus going on in govt. Atm. They must be myopic. Can't think of any other reason for it.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Sending a unilateral force of 3,500 into Iraq,   Guffaw.  Another C&P sans original comment!

The unproven suggestion (why wait so long after the supposed comment? Nov 2014) Indicates a complete lack of knowledge concerning  geopolitics, and  the Australian Defence Force's ability to operate ALONE in such a distant theatre of war.

Where are the alleged witnesses,   because without them It is a complete fabrication?.

Again,  why the wait?

There’s absolutely no doubt that Tony Abbott made this proposal.” : This one perhaps?

Tony Abbott denies making formal proposal to invade Iraq

Hello, how is it possible to   "invade"  the territory of an ally?

I suggest you watch the evening repeat of Insiders, where this topic is well covered.

I other words our blundersome PM was all for it and was talked out of such a ludicrous idea before he made it a formal request.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Now this is sad, the ABC have been busy trying to find someone to confirm that our Prime Minister was going to send our army to show Iraq how it was done. Poor Chris Uhlmann has a bad report but he’s still living in hope.

The nit wit that wrote the story is standing by what he wrote. What this means is we have the ABC investigating a story that has been written by someone who has a source who has no name. And we pay the ABC.

They expect us to believe that the Prime Minister was going to land in Iraq with 3,500 army personnel and say I’m here lets go get em. We are paying the ABC to investigate another journo who wrote a BS story, it doesn’t matter that the defence people have said they have no record of this the journos are still going.

I wonder if the source was the floor sweeper and overheard the word Iraq and was looking for a job at Fairfax as he/she had heard that Lyons had left and there was a vacancy. Does this story put me in Lyons category as a journo.

A few anonymous quotes:

Now we have Juliar Dullard....

Isn't that what Juliars press laws were suppose to do?

Have just been listening to an interview on ABC 24 and she called Juliar Gillard....

Has JOOLYA!! Flipped her wig?

Are you paraphrasing Krudd or JOOLYA!!?

JOOLYA!! will only be remembered like a bad taste

Just wait, Krudd quit to be even more destructive.  Yep is is a psychopath.

...was a tiny glimpse of the Rudd cruelty & psychopathic behaviour.

Obviously the labbies are totally sick of reading just how bad KRudd is going

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Your whole summary of the Abbott/Iraq soldiers/ The Australian article is inaccurate. You missed the finer points in the article and the journalist who wrote it and The Australians reply. The Australian stands by the accuracy of that comment.
