Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

Debra

Does everything have to be built in Australia ?

I'd like to know where most of the items in your house are built / made and if an alternative Australian made one was

available, why you didn't buy the Australian one.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

Yes, those boats look fairly basic.

"The immigration department also did not deny the boats had been procured, refusing to answer questions on why the boats had been brought or for what purpose.

A spokesman said: "Customs and Border Protection uses a variety of vessels to prepare for and perform its maritime tasks."

Typical.

I hope ALL the cars in your and am3's families are Australian made.

I somehow very much doubt it.

I am happy to be corrected so do speak up.

The minute it's uncomfortable it's none of my business and irrelevant ????

Really ?

It is very relevant. You brought up the issue of US supporting Australian industry.

"we should be supporting Australian industry- if our own govt. won't why should anyone else?"

In other words you are an absolute Hypocrit.

Talk the talk but won't walk the walk.

You all go on about Subsidies to the Australian Car Industry but how many of your purchased non Australian made cars.

Just like am3, a very bad attempt at moving the goal posts when you have been caught out.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

We have had Australian made cars and we do support buying Australian, whatever you say doesn't detract from the fact that the australian govt, does not support buying Australian

So that makes them hypocrites and you for supporting them

Have had"

Sounds to me like you don't now.

And then you have glee on the Abbatoir thread proposing pricing the price so high from the local company that they don't use them, when you have the Gov't trying to stipulate they are forced to use them.

I sometimes wonder about which side some of you are actually on.
