Diary of our stinking Govt.

As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed.  The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.Woman Happy

This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.

and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says

The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.

Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).

But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.

"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

"I think you must live in a parallel universe, a picture is as open to discussion as much as anything else that is posted. You didn't even check where your picture came from. National Civic council.??"

So?  use of an image does not constitute endorsement of, and/or knowledge of its source

What about this one,  or even the 2 "Time magazine covers I displayed earlier?

Of course anything is open to discussion, and you seem unable to accept that I have acknowledged that. e.g.

If you spend a microsecond considering that,  you might realise that you have now complained about the source, your right  (possibly even old "Acts") and I will continue to question others sources as I see fit."

Again,  hint: "you have now complained about the source, your right

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

I haven't complained about the source, it's only you who does that, I am laughing at the source ๐Ÿ™‚

So the person who complains about every article posted from every news source ( except murdoch media) posts a front cover of a news week magazine (owned by the National Civic Council )

Seriously, it is very laughable ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I'm still laughing about the cute bakery in the Philippines Woman LOL

Really relevant in a thread about the Australian Govt.....the logo  from Joe's local pizza shop would be a better fit.

Most people, especially those with a sense of humour , would know the difference between a parody and a business logo ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

"your bias is showing" to anyone that makes a song and dance about posts in this thread but ignored/ignores any anomalies in anti-Gillard(gender), Rudd/Shorten/Labor (political) threads/posts.

Re: Diary of our stinking Govt.

"There have been threads about the BOM (meteorology), with totally outrageous accusations, which you ignore in your quest to harangue the same few posters over and over with the same boring stale detractions."

That is worth a chuckle.   I guess you are new G58,  because I have  had many a "debate"   apropos meteorology, atmospheric physics, global warming, climate change,  anthropogenic CO2/GHG, aeronautical operations with SRBA,  and of course 007

If you had researched G58 you might have noted that I am a staunch supporter of both BOM and CSIRO,  having used the former a lot when I was flying my C180 , and the latter when working in a Government  aviation research laboratory.

Now I just use the BOM when boating in Port Phillip Bay or  down at the Heads when my sons want to do some diving.

Science is my passion.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-04-13/budget-2015-what-we-know-so-far/6389700

Budget 2015 is shaping up to be a far different beast than last year's broad-scale "budget repair job", if early indications from the Prime Minister and Treasurer are anything to go by.

According to Tony Abbott, Joe Hockey will unveil a "dull and routine" budget on May 12 - one which will not seek to protect the federal coffers at the expense of the household purse.

But there will be changes.

Already we know there will be a centrepiece "families package" targeted at working parents paying for childcare, and a small business tax cut.

Also expected are changes to pensions and a possible spending slowdown for other welfare payments.

Several billions of dollars worth of measures announced last year will stay on the books, banked as savings, even though there is scant prospect of them passing Parliament.

Here is a look at what we know so far of Budget 2015:milk monitor.png
