As it's more than 100 days now, it has been suggested that a new thread was needed. The current govt has been breaking promises and telling lies at a rate so fast it's hard to keep up.
This below is worrying, "independent" pffft, as if your own doctor is somehow what? biased, it's ridiculous. So far there is talk of only including people under a certain age 30-35, for now. Remember that if your injured in a car, injured at work or get ill, you too might need to go on the DSP. They have done a similar think in the UK with devastating consequences.
and this is the 2nd time recently where the Govt has referred to work as welfare???? So when you go to work tomorrow (or tuesday), just remember that's welfare.

Independent doctors could be called in to reassess disability pensioners, Federal Government says
The Federal Government is considering using independent doctors to examine disability pensioners and assess whether they should continue to receive payments.
Currently family doctors provide reports supporting claims for the Disability Support Pension (DSP).
But Social Services Minister Kevin Andrews is considering a measure that would see independent doctors reassess eligibility.
"We are concerned that where people can work, the best form of welfare is work," Mr Andrews said at a press conference.

The question that now remains is why the sudden need to C&P old material from such a partisan source when plenty abounds today for the choosing, and to C&P at will ?
if you read back a little, those articles were in response to a question asked.... it makes perfect sense to me and probably to anyone else reading here, especially the poster who asked the question

Actually via C&P of others views though, often without any individual thoughts, not that the AIMN really counts, or even the Jakarta Post.
Perhaps they do have individual thoughts, but are not articulate enough to express them. Do you think that is possible? Are you able to make allowances for that?
I, for one, grew up in a family where there was zero conversation.

"while you are here, do I have your permission to post something from The Daily telegraph ( one of your favourite sources I've noticed)"
You may C&P from whatever source you wish e.g.
http://www.thejakartapost.com/news/2015/03/23/australia-sends-illegal-immigrants-back-ri-territory.h... whis was nonsense, but I am sure it seemed politically acceptable at the time! However, The AIMN is good at any time for a citizen journalist red-rag C&P, or C&P articles unchecked (that appeal) which are "inaccurate" e.g. Kohler, Tingle and Antony Green's article.
Nevertheless one can always write "minor error on my part," or even the universal get out of jail card: "Really it's the job of the journo to research what they're putting to print, that responsibility doesn't lie with people reposting their articles on a chat board"
But worthy of a Kudos, for the AWOL Captain of the team here, is this comment that when challenged as to the validity of a post, wrote:
" it was a test to see if you and others picked it up." BEAUTIFUL.

PA: "Perhaps they do have individual thoughts, but are not articulate enough to express them. Do you think that is possible? Are you able to make allowances for that?"
I do, very often PA, even to accepting (with a chuckle) " I remember them very well so not necessary for me to search for them." or "minor error on my part".

this was published because:
The deputy Labor leader yesterday split with her boss Bill Shorten and criticised the Abbott government over discussions with the US about expanding aerial bombing raids from Iraq to Syria.
Ms Plibersek, who has twice described Africa as a country instead of a continent, said Australia had a humanitarian responsibility to Syria, in contrast to Mr Shorten’s position that stopping Islamic State is a priority.

Right!
So in your opinion that makes it OK to photo shop someone's clothing, surroundings and people they are with- I'll keep that in mind next time they do it to someone
