Oh no. Ernie ate some plastic ducks and went swimming too soon and sank; according to the lone witness.

My interpretation is that I am supposed to be a sock puppet

Hi all.
I honestly do agree that the influx of oversees posters has slightly changed the dynamic of the challenge thread, and even the board.
It is an adjustment. We come in peace.
jds is brand new to the board. I have asked him to share his photos on the challenge thread. I do agree that it might be better to post one photo at a time. They should be judged on their own merits. At the end of the day, he probably won't win a challenge the way he is posting, so no harm, no foul. We get to see his beautiful photos, and then move on.
I think I posted 3 or 4 this week(all very different). Darwin posted one photo. The Americans are trying to make everybody comfortable with our contributions.
The one thing I don't want, is for the original posters to stop posting their wonderful photos. It was the Australian photographers who drew me to the thread in the first place.
If I'm trying to get help with my photography, I will post multiple flapping geese on Poddy's thread. I only submitted my favorite flapper on the challenge thread. I did not post that pic on pod's thread. I'm learning. I'm trying to adjust, and follow the flow of your board.
LOL, Artful. I do agree with you on many points.
Thank you for having us.

TCM.......I read your comment to JDS on the Photo thread to Darwin's mom...............she had a good laugh. She's working about 60 hours a week at a "foster home" for the challenged, so she has little time for photography lately.

Darwinsmom is an amazing photographer. I look at her photos and think... crud... I can't do better than that. Then I think, well, maybe I can get creative and share my enthusiasm with others instead.
Oh, and if JDS is a female, then I apologize. LOL.
Your daughter must make you very proud. Give her a big hug from me.

I'm pretty sure JDS is male..............Darwin's mom is the working stiff..........

My post was a bit disjointed....
I thought JDS was a male. I should have posted that at the beginning or end of my last post.
The kid is still killing me though. ;):p

Nope. Not callin' nobody nuthin'!
Clarification.... well, someone sent me an image. I don't want to offend anyone's delicate sensibilities here. (I don't have enough sensibilty to be offended about anything) Anyway the image showed a bunch of Aussies in the Antarctic wearing, er, an uneven number of socks. And since I always seem to get an odd number of socks out of the dryer, I thought I had finally discovered where that one missing sock had gone.
And what is a sock puppet?

LOL, now that's a sock picture I'd like to see I imagine it's right up there with Granpa Trout, and the Infamous Knees pictures.
JDS, I love you're pics, they are unlike anything we see in Australia

I love the colours and shapes in this photo

Amazing. Jds is very humble. I have a feeling he posted his pics in clumps, in order just to share them. I keep nudging him over to the thread each week by telling him the theme. The whale photos make me so jealous. I've seen whales up close, but not in ice water.
Pimpy, I love the way you give note to the special photos each week. This one is funny, this one met the spirit, etc. I laugh everytime I see that sink full of sudsy water. My kitchen was once ripped out for nearly 6 months. The sink full of water was sorely missed.
Wally does make us search through each photo. I like that idea.
Bravo to you, Pimpy. The idea of a weekly photo challenge is brilliant.
