That is the point isn't it? The difference between a NZ'er or, for example, an Irish person making a Kiwi or Irish joke (about themselves basically) and another person who doesn't come from either of those countries making Kiwi or Irish jokes?

OMG - I just realised I have admitted on an open public forum that I am a Kiwi...........
I am going to another thread now to beat up some other poor unsuspecting members............

I remember when you could by just one of an item. Before the 'two for' thing started happening. Seems like just yesterday. I don't want 2 cans of soup, I want 1. Jeez.

I also remember the shop cat lying on the counter, and the shopkeeper going down to the cellar to get some cheese or flour etc.
Wouldn't see a cat on the supermarket counter these days. lol. I hated that cat, he was eye level with me and a hisser.

He saw you as you were in his eyes katy - he was your superior !
Dogs have masters, cats have servants LOL

Katy-the "two for"thing is annoying-some of the stuff has use by dates..mumble mumble.
My other problem with the supermarkets is the-cheaper price if you are a member.
One price for all -without filling in a form with all your personal details-
that they use and pass on to other companies...........Richo.
on โ16-11-2014 06:41 PM
I don't mind that Richo. Having a membership card means they can see the things that I mostly buy each week and then send me an email to let me know that "my things" are on special.
Some people see it as an invasion of privacy but I don't care who knows what I buy at the supermarket. I don't think they have passed on my details to anyone else or if they have I never get spam.
I hate the two for specials also and I rarely use them.
