Arnotts are changing the formula of Tim Tams
Up till now they have used artificle colours and flavours but are now changing to natural ones.
This includes changing the colouring for colour 120 ---which is cochineal (Colour 120), which is derived from the cochineal beetle.
Yes, they are putting beetles into our biscuits. ๐
if you object ---please go to the Tim Tam page and say so

Shellac comes from the Lac beetle, aren't beetles amazing little boogers..lol.
Wonder what else they use from beetles?
hmmm I googled what do we eat made from beetles, and came across this little number.
it's U.S. guidelines related, but number 4 gave me a bit of a chuckle.
"4. Vanilla icecream
If youโre a label-reader like me, you may see castoreum listed on vanilla & raspberry ice cream.
Ick factor: What they donโt say on the label is that castoreum is the **bleep** secretions & urine from a beaver. While not known to be harmful, knowing thereโs beaver pee in your ice cream may help you cut empty calories!"
I really wish I hadn't have clicked on that link.
You know there really is something to be said for the old saying "ignorance is bliss". lol

Well...
there will be similar guidelines here I expect. But beaver pee was a new one.
