If yes, have you joined the Bathing Bird survey?
All you have to do is record 20 minutes worth of bird watching a few times a week. Good excuse to sit by the window with a cuppa and a timtam
It does haven't to be a flash birdbah, even just a dish of water counts.
You can join here http://root.ala.org.au/bdrs-core/npansw/home.htm .
Perhaps we could have a special birdbath photo thread for the event.

depending on the council's zoning updates, at the moment i'd have room to build 8 units in the back yard, richo 😄
behind the garage is an organized mess [never throw anything out]
a house demolisher dumped off a truck load of timber, that was a nice catch

yes, im not so happy with this sofa bed i settled for, not as comfy as i thought
but, i source most of my stuff from gumtree
recently picked up 5 free bikes
a care taker at a security apartment complex warned residence not to lock their bikes in the car park, otherwise they'll get confiscated
i was the first caller, quite a nice high tech diamondback mountain bike amongst them ..that i'll keep for myself
he said he'll give us a hoy when he's got another load 😄

I'm not in the least bit worried by the thread hijack Richo, it keeps it on the front page and hopefully more people will join the Survey.
JOz, was that monster wasp a hornet maybe? they are harmless Ilethink. We get paper wasps, nasty little suckers but any sort of insect spray bowls them over. Spray of a noght of course, when they are all home to roost and can't see you coming in the dark. Hubby likes to set fire to the aerosol as he sprays, kinda like a flame thrower.
The hornets drive us nuts too. They build their mud nests in the most inconvenient of places. We have earplugs stuck in the exhaust of the whipper snippers and to stop them.

im too lazy richo, quokka free ads used to be the in thing untill gumtree came along, i just look up the web whenever, but it does pay to ring early
no idea pimpy, i assumed it was a queen wasp wonderin' whats happening to her soldiers
on the other hand it might have been a hornet looking to feed on the dying wasps?!
yeah best to catch them when theyre busy on the nest [these nests are spongy] one little zap of fly spray will get 10 + in one shot
even had one under the trailer that i use, woe, it was the seconf bite i recieved, buggas think its their turf

I was going to register but I'm just not getting any birdlife in the garden at the moment. Not since the great early morning galah and parrot turf wars.
I suppose they also want to know when your birds just disappear but I can't sit and watch nothing for 20 minutes.
There was a lady talking about the birdbath survey on tv yesterday morning.
