History does seem to have a way of repeating itself, and newman seems a little touched

Nor do I have any, but support the rights of those that chose to do so.
and further support those that chose to live differently provided they do so within the law as long as the law is equally applied to all without taking away people human rights.
yes so do i. i do have some reservations about the outlaw clubs , but i find the association laws are far worse and the sentencing is over the top. newman is almost halfway out already, he and his cabal might have second thoughts or go, one of the two is likely unless he is more stupid than he looks. QLD had sufficient legislation in place already to deal with gangs.
i used to ride a bike for many years, most of it was on the track or sundays up the lobethal road in the unofficial death race to norton summit. it was madness really the entire thing , but it seemed great at the time. someone used to drive a ute along behind to pick up the riders and bikes that were bent in the process .
Oh you were one of those crazies on those crutch rockets.
they are nuts the way they ride them things, a nearly400kg cruiser doesnt go round corners at speed, but the sound of 10 plus V twins pulling hard out of the twisty bits is something else

Maybe Newman has a plan - Maybe he thinks it will all to come to a head with all gangs over these laws - then he will have a legitimate excuse to wipe them out.......
let's just hope all gangs don't choose to side together over this farce of a law and we end up with total anarchy

That has already happened, when Ran tried similar laws in SA all the clubs banned together and formed the UMC they as a joint organisation took it to the high court and the laws were over turned because they were unconstitutional and the same thing will happen in QLD
The stupid thing is they already have laws to deal with criminals and crime, why do they want new laws is the question thinking people need to be asking

Our civil liberties are being eroded state by state, seems that is OK for the majority who can't be bothered to see past the daily rags headlines.

totally disagree, see more and more people with tattoos, my son is a tattoo artist, he has always been amazing at drawing and painting, does amazing portrait work on people. each to their own. The Qld bikie laws are way over the top, its scare tactics, Here is Melbourne we have a young footballer (AFL) who is friends with a bikie, the AFL and the media are reporting that he needs to sever his friendship with this person. When has somebody got the right to tell you who you can associate with? It's just big brother over the top. Pell associated with Paedophiles, went to court stood beside them, hes now at the vatican. But that's okay isn't it? depends who you are it seems. Hope other states don't follow Qld's laws. Im all for locking someone up if they've done the wrong thing but by association it's ridiculous.

Its good that some people understand the issues and whats really happening behind the scenes and how dangerous these unconstitutional discriminatory laws are.
and even better that you know about the protection Paedophiles seem to enjoy from very high places.
A number of people have suggested these laws are a smoke screen for something much bigger

I guess we are going to see it challenged in court soon.
MEET the “straw man” Queensland bikies are banking on in a high-stakes bid to knock down the Newman Government’s criminal gang laws.
The Courier-Mail can reveal that Hells Angels tattooist “Steffen” will be the face of a High Court challenge by peak body the United Motorcycle Council.
Legal sources said the Poland-born bikie – who is believed to have no businesses, properties or major assets – is a “smart” choice for legal action that could cost the loser up to $500,000.
The tattooist has no recorded criminal convictions but is barred from working in his former home state of NSW under laws banning bikies from the industry there from last year.
He has not been arrested for any crime under Queensland’s bikie crackdown but risks being again banned from the profession here when similar laws come into effect in July.
