It also said jam is called 'preserve' for a reason
So let's all empty our fridges lol
They don't even refrigerate beer in the uk
.was that necessary to say? i feel sick now, and that is all YOUR fault.
...what am3 said: where would i put them if not in the fridge? i can't think of a space in my kitchen where they would be safe.
also, what about summer? can't leave them out a week when it's 45 degrees, can i?
i knew someone once who would store the cooking oil under the sink with the cleaners. if i remember right the reason was that it comes in a similarly shaped bottle *rolls eyes*

I used to store chocolate in the fridge during summer but read somewhere that this is a bad idea, flavour-wise.
Mustard, mayo, tomato sauce, etc all go in the fridge.
it is i think, but the chocolate would melt in summer and that's not good flavourwise either. these advices usually come from people who live in cooler climates than most of us.
when they say that you shouldn't put chocolate into the fridge it does not come to their mind that outside the fridge it's over 40 degrees....

Maybe the lid wasn't on properly and the air has gotten into the jar.

does it matter if the vegemite is mouldy?
it can't become more horrible than it already is.
just think of the mould as special savoury icing.

I have always had 2 fridges (drinks) and I used to keep the potatoes in the 2nd one.
They keep for months. But they are painful to peel. Frozen fingers
