Joe Hockey on Financial Review being interviewed with a ear piece, has Joe developed a hearing problem or is he receiving prompt's from his puppet controllers?

Newsreaders and show hosts usually wear them to be given prompts and to be fed lines. I assume that if a guest is wearing them then it is for the same reason.
Obviously someone IS whispering in Hockey's ear.

The onerous George W used them for every interview.
There was always a lag between a question being asked and George answering.
He was being fed the answers by a team hidden behind him.
They probably yelled 'duck' when that shoe was hurtling towards him. ha ha ha.
