I think of us all like a group of people who all have different views and will read things and naturally expand on a topic or see things in a written article which may be part of the opening post which others may not .
General discussions with a variety of people will naturally flow in directions other posters may not expect or want it to...regardless everyone's input into the general discussion is supposed to (according to CS values) be valued as are we as unique individuals.
I know that I would much rather have a discussion flow as it will with a group of friends than have people within that group tell others that what they are talking about isn't on topic to that discussion.
They would likely be conversation stoppers and people I wouldn't choose to have in a friendly discussion at my table .
