as Ive said all through this thread I do not think reporting people for off topic is valid on this board, That is my protest.

Ive been reading your posts here, many times throughout this thread you've said that off topic relates to the thread only, not the posts, yet you often tell  people that their posts are off topic. So I'm confused  Does the off topic rule  mean to you the thread or the posts??

If a thread has a topic, and a post is made in that thread  is not on topic, the post can be removed? That is my impression from what I have seen here.

No one can deny that posters sometimes go into threads for the sole purpose of taking at shot at another poster... the post has no relevance at all to the thread topic...

Stopping that, how can that be a bad thing?

Yesterday one poster made 2 nasty personal attacks in  2 different threads to me. Then they complain about moderation of off topic posts?

It means another poster/lurker did not report those posts.

You must know that it does not mean a post is contravening a rule for it to be removed? Well, in the past that was the way of it 🙂
