It would be. Stil a person who decides to post that stuff in a thread, must know it is off topic as well and not a contstructive addition to the thread.

You must know that it does not mean a post is contravening a rule for it to be removed? Well, in the past that was the way of it 🙂
New mods, new broom?
No, I don't think it does mean, posts are still there because no one has reported them. Speaking generally most posts are made that do not contravene any posting rules.
If a post is removed and one doesn't think it should have been, there is the option of appealing that decision?
We also have the editing of posts now, which will leave the part of the post that is relevant.

not everyone appeals a post.

I get told that a lot when I don't think that I am off topic and if others decide to state that my posts are not on topic and are not constructive additions to the boards ..who are they to judge ?
That very attitude posted continually on the boards seems very anti community spirit and anti discussion

I guess it's one I'll have to query with the mods, which I'll do later today

I think some posters just don't realise how annoying they can be and whilst some members have a high tolerance, others don't.......this place will never be "Happy Families" and to expect sunshine and laughter all the time, well you'd be dissapointed.

That's an interesting post Soul .
You can judge others tolerance and expectations ?
Is something OK just because it is tolerated ?

True, but the everyone has the option to do so. I would think they would take that option if they are concerned their post has been removed in error.

Speaking from experience, if a reported post was queried/appealed by me, it would need to be a day I was able to give time to it, mean something to me and have a reasonable chance of being overturned.
In the past it may even have had it's "reason for removal" changed and subsequently upheld.
However, there are quite a few (in the past) that did not fit the criteria for removal, for any reason, yet were removed on the report of another poster/lurker. Some were overturned, some were never answered.

Was that before or after the changes to the board last month az? Definitely before, there was not much chance of getting any answers.
