Self explanatory.
Yes we have a dog bed for her. She ignores it unless we put it ON the lounge then she will jump straight in it.
Commands haven't worked so far. We have to drag her off the lounge at the moment and even then she keeps her legs and head firmly down.
And no she can't stay on the lounge because a) she is a bassett which means she has an oily smelly coat and b) she slobbers and drools so makes a pretty hideous mess when she shakes her head.
She is a bassett hound so WAY more stubborn than your average dog and nothing seems to be working.

OMFG joono!! Makes you want to cry (and laugh cos it's not yours)
That's what happens when you leave them inside I guess.
Worst I had was a puppy that let himself in through the cat door
and proceeded to chew every shoe in the house.

I have 2 really thick good quality "minky" blankets (single size) and I keep one on the lounge and the other is in a wash. Double o queen would be better, but they do not fit in my washer. I also had some thinner rugs but they did not give enough protection.
One way to keep Basset off would be make the lounge higher, and I know people who when they go out put all their dinning chairs (upside down) on their sofa and armchairs. Dogs to not find that very comfortable. Or you can sit down on a cushion on the floor with the dog. To get her off; spray bottle works too.

Is this the newish pet dog that was supposed mainly live outside? ( I forgot whether it was supposed to mainly be inside or outside?)
