Mr Pyne argues a private, apparently one-on-one meeting with Tony Abbott was justification for his family's Christmas trip, as scrutiny of MPs' expenses drags into its fourth week.

"You can help us investigate expense claims by searching records and the results of our data analysis for instances where an entitlement claim may have been outside the rules. . .
Earlier this year, we used data analysis techniques to break stories showing Tony Abbott and Kevin Andrews claimed expenses around and during the Pollie Pedal fundraiser, and show that politicians on both side of the fence have made claims for flights and accommodation around dates they were attending sporting events. . .
You can help us investigate expense claims by searching the records for instances where an entitlement claim may have been outside the rules.
Here are all the datasets. You can download them as spreadsheets (open the document, then download via the file menu), or add them to your own Google Drive account for analysis. . . "

here's some more double standards for you
Asked yesterday if the family travel allowance should be scrapped Mr Hockey replied: “You’ve got to be precious with every dollar of taxpayers money, I’ve always said that.”
The total cost to taxpayers for the entire 2013 Perth trip of $14,566 was more than Labor frontbencher Tony Burke and his family’s business class flight trip to Uluru, which Mr Burke has conceded was within the guidelines but “completely beyond community expectations”.
In an unfortunate coincidence, Mr Hockey’s family trip to Perth on business class flights also marked the first anniversary of his landmark The End of the Age of Entitlement speech.Mr Hockey’s speech had warned that voters could not and should not expect greater government services coupled with significantly lower taxation.
“Let me put it to you this way: The Age of Entitlement is over,’’ Mr Hockey said.
so, from the man who told us the age of entitlement is over, his family trip cost us more than Tony Burkes, but is also "within the guidelines"
