Any suggestions what to do/use/? Got plenty of newspaper but hoping for something a little more sensitive?

Maybe try burnishing the surface with sandpaper as may soften up the fibres ?

I dont like the idea of News paper, with the ink they use in the print you would end up with a Black Bottom

Ironing it with a hot iron 'sets' the ink.
