Hu icyfroth, One thing that I have noticed about you is your awareness of what's going on in the world. It's obvious that you've taken the time to think about thngs as well.  I know that your stance on this issue is most likely due to concern which is based on what you know and I dare say some good common sense values. However, you may be surprised to know that in the US, some of the visiting drag queens have some names that might shock you.

A journalist who has a Youtube channel, Millenial Millie does a bit of investigative work as well as covers a protest against a parental board by some LGBT and drag queen people. Her presentation is called "Story Hour Drag Queens Protest Against Parental Rights". It would be good to watch all of it but for now I suggest you go to 10:20 where she is interviewing someone outside a building. Have a listen to some of the names that the drag queens use when making their entry in front of the little ones. And yes, more twerking, both shown in a soon in following scenes.

Please be aware that there are some lewd comments and a gesture later on in the clip.

Millennial Millie attends a protest in Jefferson City, Missouri at the Capital where Drag Queen Story Hour advocates rallied against a new bill giving parents more control over the content presented to children in public libraries. Drag Queen Story Time advocates argue the bill is "anti-LGBTQ" where proponents of the bill argue it simply gives parents more control over what their children are exposed to educational settings. Trigger Warning - Some images and comments presented may be offensive to some views. Viewer discretion is advised.

Where does it stop? What will the boundaries be??

Thanks 4 Channel. I hadn't been aware at how we are copying the US in this, and how much of a hold it has taken over there. It's disgusting, and to think some ppl here are defending it.

If all this really concerns you, find the next time drag queens are reading at a library near you, and voice your concerns there.

No-one on this forum seems to care

All you're really doing is confirming your own stance on the matter.

And yet there seems to be a lot of argument defending it.

If it doesn't concern you, why are you posting here?

Can you give me the link to the article he posted describing copycat lewd behaviour in libraries by Australian drag queens I think I must have missed it.

Oh, and while you're about it, I'm still curious to know which of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books you disliked so much - you never did tell me.

Maybe I would go and voice my concerns at a library near me if some of this was happening.

There are probably some other people here people that care about the children. One is an intelligent, lateral thinking woman who has posted her concerns here. Oh and I care too.

By the way what do you think my stance is on this matter?

OMG! What horrors have I helped to perpetuate? I recall with shame  that infamous day when I ran a workshop in a local primary school during Children's Book Week. It was sponsored by our local TV station and and along with the film crew they brought along their mascot, Doopah Dog, who sat in the class and interacted with the kids. I shudde rnow  to think how many of those poor benighted little souls  must have gone home and started  sniffing each others backsides and peeing against lampposts.

* Please tell me the_great_she_elephant, with what has been taking place in he US ith drag queens doing stripper routines, showimng little ones how to twerk, coming in with their names being announced as c*nti hornay, muff fishbasket (or whatever it was) and something c*ck, what are yiour thoughts on this?

* What about a drag queen asking littl;e ones ...  "Who wants to be a drag queen when they grow up"? What do you think about that?

Hey katistrophik, I think you have potential. And if we can see you shine then that will be awesome. I just hope you'll rise with the good I know is inside you.

I'm serious.

I was going to say .. "I'm serious sister"  but someone may call me a hippy. Not that's an uncool thing. I do dig the era.
But knowing this joint it would be something worse than hippy.
