I've just bought a bottle of Mustard Honey & Herb which I thought was a sauce but it says Marinade.
I don't want to use it as a marinade but simply as sauce on the cooked meal, does anyone know if I can do this or does the sauce have to be cooked?

Given - I am an ace in the room with the stainless steel thingy.
Could you heat the marinade - then cool to use as sauce.

i wouldn't use it.
if it is unopened and you have the receipt
take it back and change it for the sauce.

Just checking your Q is - Does the marinade need to be cooked to be eaten?
The A is No, it doesnt, its just thicker than a sauce.
If it is the Mfoods one, its fine to use as a sauce- its the vege gum- xanthan which thickens it.. you might want to loosen it and add a bit of hot water( just a tspn) to make it more runny.
PS I cook, a lot..and eat a lot! I wouldnt be taking it back. Waste of time.
Make sure you put it in the fridge once its open.
and bright, there are no dumb food Qs..
