ED, A&E or casualty?

Im just wondering what you call your local hospital emergency section of the hospital. I think it must vary in places and times.

(ED - emergency department, A&E accident and emergency)

I can't actually remember!  I think we call it casualty.  I suppose it depends on why you need the place.  If it is major then it's called emergency.

Ours is ED but I still call it A&E which confuses others when I have to send someone down for a patient. ๐Ÿ˜„ I think A&E must be a NSW term? I think it was casualty when I was a child and maybe on American Hospital shows.

ED, A&E or casualty?

It was called A&E when my sister worked there in NZ in the 80s.
ED when I was at ours, in NSW, earlier this year.
