Explain this to me: People lining up for iphones.

This has to be a mental disease right?????

Why do people line up overnight just to get one of the first phones??? What does it actually achieve?

I think it is just a bit of nerdy fun Bob.  It is like Star Trek fanatics dressing up or the way people love to dress for Rocky Horror.

I reckon they all have a fun night on the street.

Is there a limited amount released on the first day? As it appeared some of the first to get one would try and sell it to others still in the queue at inflated prices, because there wasn't enough of them for everyone.

A girl ( Sydney)was so upset she never got one. The police kept telling her to stay in line but she kept hopping out to see if anyone else who had already brought one would sell it to her ( some offered but the price was exorbitant).
In the end the police told her to leave as she wasn't staying in the queue.
She had been waiting for hours and was also due to go to a Uni lecture...so was impatient to get one.

What about the ones that flew to Perth from Hong Kong to get one or two as the case with some of them, the extra one to sell back in Hong Kong.

Behind by 6 generations of iPhone's bushie. 😉

My daughter didn't believe me the other day when I said I had a mobile phone before 2001. It was a budget brick sized one and I only wanted it incase my car broke down on long trips.
