Remote farm looks to be getting smashed. 36 mm. including 19 mm. in the last hour and more on the way. Looks like the stock agent made the right call to abandon all stock transports for the next week.
He,s only a young bloke, but dead keen and getting quite a following.. In the off shears sales in September he yarded more sheep for sale than Elders and Westfarmers combined. ( the big name agencies )
A week or so ago, he was passing my remote farm, and took the initiative to go round the sheep unannounced and see what was ready to sell. Phoned me and then came out early in the morning on a 40 degree day to draft them off. Just shows that a young ,unknown bloke can still build a great business if he is dedicated to hard work and customer service.

Experiencing a stint of springish weather again here in Perth, can't complain.. of course it's excellent! but it isn't a set season anymore, get springish weather through-out the year.

52 mm. at the remote farm over night and another large rain band on the way later in the morning. The forcast was for 65 % chance of 5mm. - 20 mm. over the two days so very happy with this one. Its more than a quarter of our total rainfall last year and will get the feed for stock started and provide sub soil moisture for the crops.
The rain has been reasonably general along the Southern settled areas and follows on from good cyclonic rains in the North. It is looking like the drought is finally starting to break around the country.

Same here and we aren't expecting any moisture/rain until early tomorrow morning and then not much anyway.
31.8 now and heading for 42 with a dew point of 18/19 so it's going to be muggy and hard to stay cool. (so
cancelled golf as that's a dangerous combination on the golf course).

Blazing blue skies and searing heat here in Sydney. 37c but feels like more. Luckily there's a cooling breeze. Showers forecast for the next 4 days.
I've go a load of washing to do later on today, so will water our garden with the rinse water.
