OOHhhhh my poor Timmy
Former first bloke Tim Mathieson urged to explain himself over ‘bang’ phone rant
Listen to his RANT here http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/victoria/former-first-bloke-tim-mathieson-urged-to-explain-himself-...
VICTORIA’S Attorney-General Robert Clark has called on Tim Mathieson to explain himself after the former First Bloke left an angry message on Victorian Premier Denis Napthine’s electorate office phone.
Mr Mathieson, the partner of former Prime Minister Julia Gillard, is understood to have left the message on June 11 after he was mentioned in Victorian Parliament during a debate about the now suspended MP Geoff Shaw.
Part of the message said: “So, if he mentions the prime minister’s partner one more time, one more time, there will be a legal action against Denis the vet.
“You hear me? One more time against the ex-Prime Minister’s partner there will be a lawsuit against him so long — I am not, I am not, anything to do with Geoff Shaw, in any way shape or form. So, if he mentions me one more time, I am telling you right now. OK? That’s it. Bang!”
Mr Clark said that if Mr Mathieson did leave the message he must explain himself.
“Debates in the Parliament are free ranging and people are fully entitled to put the point of view and the materials before the house that they wish to,” Mr Clark said.
“If this phone message was left by Mr Mathieson, he needs to explain himself.”
Reports of the message circulated in Canberra last week, with Liberal staffers shocked that Mr Mathieson would threaten to sue the Premier.
Three years ago, Ms Gillard wrote a personal cheque for $4243 to repay the entitlements after Mr Mathieson used the Prime Minister’s taxpayer-funded car to sell shampoo and hair products.
On June 11, the same day that Mr Mathieson left the message, Dr Napthine had referred to the incident in Victorian Parliament.

public life has repercussions, this is one of them

here's a bit more on Geoff Shaw, & yes it looks like they have reneged on their initial deal with him to get his votes in parliament
so I don't blame the other man for being upset enough to make a phone call about it, there is no comparison between the 2 men at all. misuse of paliamentary priviledge mentioning him perhaps
i hope they apologize to him first

A partner of an ex PM (two times ago) is no longer in public life. If he has been asked to explain his phone call so be it. Not even news worthy imo.

I think it's prety self explanatory Am, they know why he called lol, just another beat up. The Vic LNP want to stay right where they are and making the other side of politics look bad is all it's about. They want the mud to stick somewhere else
another deflection is all it is

Nero, do you think it is appropriate or courteous to refer to the current PM's wife / partner as the First Sheila?

I can't wait until the day that Julia Gillard sues the pants off Andrew Bolt.
Not that I want to see Bolt without his pants. Errrkk

The phone call was in response to the unelected Victorian Premier attacking him in Parliament.
Where are the repercussions for the unelected Victorian Premier to match, seeing as we're playing **bleep** for tat?
