And what makes us think we can't just kick them out of the way? I always seem to wind up clinging to the edge of a kink size bed gripping the edge of the doona which doesn't quite cover all of my bits!

Would you be kind enough to explain - a kink size bed.
And the sheets it needs.

Is that what they refer to as "Freudian"? A psychiatrist with whom I am aquainted (I"m not going to explain the nature of my aquaintance), once explained that in a Freudian slip, the word that is dropped out is just as important as its substitute ie I could just as easily trying to displace the King in my bed, as intoduce some kinks!
More than that I am not prepared to say.....

PS I am not insane and I have the psychiatric reports to prove it.....

Even in a bed like that I'd still be clinging to the edge and clutching one corner of the doona!

We put up with it as if the little guys are not there you cannot sleep for worrying if you have insulted them or something ....its lonely if they are missing
I have a dog who has to sleep horizontally and a cat that must have a paw across me and be cheek to cheek ,but there is something lovely about the way they love to cuddle up .
