I went to 7-Eleven tonight to get a bite to eat, grabbed a Four'n Twenty pie and gosh it was halal.
Traitors! How can they do this?
I put it back in the warmer then drove to a local Italian restaurant and we had pasta carbonara.

A classic example of how urban myths are initiated.....
Back in the day we used to load out inedible (condemned for human consumption) offal in frozen 18kg bricks after
palletizing them onto pallets for delivery to Bush's dog food company...... it was signified as inedible by putting large
red stripes in dye all over the shrunk wrapped pallets with not for human consumption brands and labels all over it
..... however......
along the way Bush's had bought a maxicube semi trailer of Big Ben pie company and it still had the Big Ben
pie company logo emblazoned on the sides and back along with a huge pie with a bite taken out of it
..... all the newbies were absolutely horrified and the experienced only really served to perpetuate the myth that it was
actually Big Ben that was buying condemned tracheas, mouth linings offal etc.
it was a standing joke and probably still is as I see the same semi often on the highway
...well.... urban myth busted...the name on the invoices that I prepared was Bush's pet food company
although I bet some of those newbies wouldn't even think about eating a Big Ben pie to this day
as an aside a local (australian) seafood company used to buy tonnes and tonnes of scalded tripe pieces? I dunno what
they did with it??,,,but it is a fact that they (back in the 90's) purchased a lot of it

You really don't follow the news, do you?
Just before they harvest the meat trays, a star appears in the East and sprinkles Halal pepper on the cows. This makes the Halal cows sneeze, turn West (away from the source of the pepper) and say "Bless You" to each other.
They must have forgotten to mention that on the rabid left winged ABC 7pm news.
That's because we don't clip the right wings of Australian Beef Cattle anymore. It just made them fly in circles and crash into the pigs causing the Jewish cows to get contaminated. This stressed the cows out so much that they produced excess lactic acid and their emission of methane gas increased tenfold, speeding up global warming and melting ice caps.
So it's best we just don't talk about how it was done "in the old days", makes the cows less rabid.

Yes they're clients of ours. They'll probably have to go halal eventually as well to be able to stay in the market, I think.

Could we try to stay on-topic pls?

They might? I've never seen one, although we do have own disgusting meat pies, lol. But it comes with peas, carrots, string beans, potatos. Jamaican beef patties. ....Very similar and I buy them once in while.
I have one in my freezer for when I'm hungry and tired. It's been in there 2 months now.
Jamaican beef patty....

because there are so many ridiculous urban myths being spread around online about halal and halal certification, here is an email from the Halal Certification Authority Australia in reply to a request from one of myth spreaders - I wonder how many direct and indirect jobs the hate spreaders have created.
http://www.hoax-slayer.com/halal-certification-cadbury-protest-email.shtml
Thank you for your email and article regarding Halal certification.
Unlike Kosher certification, the Heart foundation certification, Organic certification etc, Halal certification is regulated by the Federal Government through an approved arrangement with the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS). Halal Certification Authority Australia (HCAA) generates 8 billion dollars for the economy of this country through exports. Our fees are well known to our clients and we have no need to advertise them to all and sundry. Unlike other types of certifiers we are audited annually by AQIS and like every company in this country we are financially audited by a chartered accountant. We pay company tax as well as income tax.
Halal certification has created 30,000 jobs directly and about 400,000 jobs indirectly and all the misguided writer of these emails are doing their best to accuse HCAA and the manufacturers it certifies of being involved directly or indirectly of terrorism.
The true terrorists are the writers of these emails who seem to be a combination of xenophobes, bigots and ignorant people determined to sabotage one third of Australia’s food export that HCAA helped build over the years.
HCAA will not justify its existence to a kangaroo court nor will it reveal its income and expenditure to other then the Taxman and other government departments.
Those suspecting us of doing anything to harm Australia are advised to immediately call the Australian Federal Police on 1800 333 000 who are the legitimate entity to investigate such allegations rather than the internet to sabotage Australian exports.
Kind regards
Mohamed El-Mouelhy
Chairman
HCAA
