Four'n Twenty Pies are now halal

I went to 7-Eleven tonight to get a bite to eat, grabbed a Four'n Twenty pie and gosh it was halal.

Traitors!  How can they do this?

I put it back in the warmer then drove to a local Italian restaurant and we had pasta carbonara.

I think you are being a bit naughty Smiley Wink

The law didn't say don't ride camels, it said don't eat camels.

The three wise men by the way were Magii - Magicians / astrologists - not Kings as some say. this from wiki

The story of the Biblical Magi, i.e. the Gospel of Matthew's "wise men of the east" that visit the infant Jesus, carries the same astrological/magical associations. There are two "magic"-related allusions in that text that the Judeo-Hellenistic audience would have recognized: a) the The Star that the magians follow is an auspicious astrological omen; b) as experts (sophistés, "wise men") in their art and craft, the magians are being attributed with the skill to interpret the prophesy/divinitation correctly. Matthew's readers might never have seen a magus, but the associations between magi/astrology/magic were commonplace, and the function of the magi in this text -- as assurance of fulfillment of the prophecy of the coming of a saviour -- would have been understood.

and who came first? The Muslims or the Christians?

Wasn't God originall called Yahweh? And then the muslims adopted that to Allah.

And then the Christians came along and created their own name.

So I suppose Allah came first, God came second.

Yes God was called in the Bible YHWH which renders as either Yahweh or Jehovah according to who you listen to.  This name dates right back to creation so as there were no Christians as such in those days, I guess no-one can lay claim to it.

Jesus the name - of course is not really Jesus - that's only the name accepted pronunciation - modern scholars lean towars Yeshua / Jeshua.

Why do muslims need to label my food?

They should label their own and leave mine alone!

And still not a word from the RSPCA about the way muslims dispatch their animals. Let's hear from you please RSPCA.

"Allah" is a title like "God" - not a name at all.
