THE student who leaked details of Frances Abbott’s scholarship has been selected for a position with The Greens.

Freya Newman, 21, was successful in securing a paid internship in the office of Greens Senator Lee Rhiannon after the part-time position was advertised in November 2014.

“Following an extensive application process involving over 160 applicants and two rounds of interviews we offered the position to Freya,” Ms Rhiannon said.

“Freya was an outstanding applicant and we are very much looking forward to having her on board.”

Note that she did not hack into other people's emails. She accessed one person's account and wasn't authorised to do so which is a completely different thing.

A hacker is someone who seeks and exploits weaknesses in a computer system or network. Facts Icy, facts.

Freya used another staff members password didn't she?. Why was that staff members password accessible or did she/he turn a blind eye to it being used?

Freya Newman is not a criminal.. no charges were laid against her. Which makes your whole statement fictitious. inflammatory and defamatory & slanderous.. that will do for now.

She was charged and let off on a good behaviour bond, Am. 

It was a chargeable offence and an invasion of privacy, the result of which was leaked to the press for the shaming of a Prime Minister and his daughter

You would think any political party would steer clear of employing anyone with such a background.

But the Greens snapped her up.

You would wonder what background deals were done there, and if they were similar to those that got Frances Abbott her job with the Whitehouse Institute

The court also heard that Ms Newman was encouraged by more senior staff members at the Whitehouse Institute to log in to the student information system.

She was let off with no conviction recorded only due to her youth.
