Today I'm going north-east with friends to a restaurant way up in the mountains.   It's going to be cold and there may be a tiny bit of snow still on the ground!  That's my adventure for the day, no work, no stress, just good friends and good food!

just becuse there is no adventure in everyday life does not mean it is monotonous. It means work and family commitments which for some is enjoyable.

I agree with you - this quote is about monotony, not about everyday life. They are two different things entirely. I'm happy with my everyday life, I don't exactly find it monotonous; but I guess what I was trying to get across with this quote is that a lot of people do find everyday life boring. *That's* when adventure is needed!
