Geoffrey Rush trial: Actress Eryn Norvill says she felt 'belittled' by sexual gestures
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-10-30/geoffrey-rush-court-battle-hears-from-eryn-norvill/10445542
i really dont see what the young woman hopes to acheive by this, her carreer if she had one is prolly dead.
i dont think you can place acting into the same area you would most other jobs as far as where the 'line' is between ok behaviour and not ok behaviour.
in acting you can be required to be anying from a rocket scientist to a prostitute.
you can be asked to talk like you know how to fly the apollo moon lander or strip naked and 'pretend' your having sex with your husband or a complete stranger.
so getting 'uncomfotable' with a co-worker 'touching' you seems kinda hard to swallow.
i cant think of any 'normal' jobs where you would be required to do the shyte actors do.
so shes destroyed the reputation of one of the highest regarded actors of our times for what?
because she felt uncomfortable?
or did she just get caught up in the 'me too' typhoon and found herself too involved to get out?
she sure has fame but as to ever acting again i think she will find it difficult.

Legally, I don't think anbody is permitted to offer a public opinion one way or the other while the matter is beofre the court.
Legally? That's never stopped feminist activists from voicing their opinions before, on any issue they've feltl the need to protest about!
Perhaps not, but given the nature of this case it would be a very brave - or foolish - media outlet that would publish them.

So sleazebags get away with being sleazebags because they have better lawyers.
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

'Witness X' would bring 'entirely new set of allegations' to Rush trial
The defamation battle between Oscar-winning actor Geoffrey Rush and The Daily Telegraph would have to be adjourned until next year if the newspaper succeeded in its eleventh-hour bid to call a new witness as part of its case, the Federal Court judge presiding over the trial has said.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern aren't finished yet.

The case is being heard in a court of law - not a court of public opinion. If the guilt or innocence of the defendants were to be decided by the published opinions of feminists unconnected with the case, then our justice system woud be in big trouble.

Looks like a "new player" has emerged on the News Corpse team???.This case could end being longer than War and Peace.

I actually met GR on few occassions; he lived few houses up from us some years back. I never considered him to be sleezy.
At first he was accused of touching this woman's breasts for 4 seconds on the stage in full view of anybody in the auditorium as well as the whole cast. Later she went further and her description of what happened is almost step by step description of what Al Franken was captured in photo doing to sleeping Leean Tweeden.
I generally believe the women who come out with sexual assault accusations, but I do NOT believe that all the other cast members would come out and lie to the court.

of course only 2 people really know the truth about what happened in this case.
we the viewer will never know for sure, its definately his word over hers. or vica versa.
but as my blooper video shows, once you begin getting into doing pretend touchy feely stuff your entering into an area full of 'where is that darn line'?
most of the examples showed both male and femal actors using comedy to 'lighten the moment'
however there were plenty of examples of things happening 'not in the script'
any one of a number of the females could later say 'he touched me in a way that made me uncomfortable'
heck, theres one example of 'boob fluffing' that really made me cringe. but the actress seems fine with it.
