If the trio are excluded from the win, the remaining syndicate members will receive another £14,000 each
A lottery syndicate that won £1million are locked in a dispute today over how to share the money after three members are accused of not paying for the ticket.
The 16 colleagues from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) were each due to receive £62,500 after they won the EuroMillions draw on Friday.
But in a drama reminiscent of the BBC series The Syndicate, the group are arguing about how to divide the winnings after three members had not paid.
Lottery operators Camelot were today trying to mediate in the row and senior officials at the DVLA have become involved.
If they exclude the workers who have not paid up the remaining members stand to gain an extra £14,423 each.

What would you do.. If they were only 1 week behind i would pay them..if more than that they should get nothing..

give them the money it is not like they are going to end up loosing heaps by not giving it.

If they were serial non payers that always had to be chased for the money I wouldn't want to give it to them. If they were the pay up kind of people then share the money

well if they are not paying who is putting in for them? Someone must be making up the share or it's coming out of existing winnings?

That is a good question..but if its coming out of winnings then they are covered..
well if they are not paying who is putting in for them? Someone must be making up the share or it's coming out of existing winnings?

Why should they get the money if they haven't put in for it?
I say no.

If they were all regular members and had consitantly bought tickets together,,, then...
why not handle it the same way they handled a regular syndicate member they last time they did not pay on time
...and they won diddley squat.... it would have happened heaps I guess???
... the difference being that this time they won a little more than diddley squat
.... just let them pay the next week/fortnight...... ie the remaining syndicates course of action morally (IMO) should not be guided by the fact that this time someone did not pay they won a motza

If they were named in the syndicate then they get the money...
If they usually pay but for some reason didn't then you need to pay up.
If they were so concerned that they didn't pay then you should remove their name from that syndicate before hand.
Usually in the syndicate you all get a pick of numbers. If you won with those numbers then you should also pay up.
If you bought a syndicate ticket at the same value as if they were contributing then you should pay up.
I was manager of a syndicate where I worked years back... if someone did not pay they were never excluded...I just made sure they paid the following week...
If we had won big I would never have excluded them... ever..

Yes they should be paid if they are a regular member but missed that week. Money does seem to make people get a bit greedy.
If they don't want to pay them then there should be an agreement that anyone late in payment would not take part in any winnings.
