Re: Graffiti around your town

According to a book I once read, the following was inscribed on the wall of a latrine at the airfild where 617 (Dambuster) Squadron was based during WWll.

1st graffitist) this blardy s**thouse is no good at all,

The seat is too high and the hole is too small.

2nd graffitist) To which I must add the obvious retort,

Your a***e is too big and your legs are too short.

Here's the rest of the picture... It's a shame I didn't have a panoramic camera to get the whole thing in one shot

Re: Graffiti around your town

Most graffiti around here is just mindless and inane scribble, not funny, without a meaningful message, void of correct spelling, written in felt-tipped pen, by brain-dead sewer rats after the human population have gone to bed. Just a pity they can't be caught in the act and made to clean it off - with their fingernails.

Re: Graffiti around your town

I was thinking about this thread on Saturday when I walked to the shops instead of driving.  We have some fantastic street and local art.  It is usually commissioned by the local council I think.

Graffers are pretty much the pits if all they have is a tag.

Kind of aligned to she eles story, there is a large rock by the side of the highway near Braidwood in NSW that is regularly painted with messages. Usually they are just of the Happy Birthday type but I did once see a Marry Me? plee. It's quite cute.

We have one of those, its called elephant rock and the messages change every few days. From happy birthdays/anniversarys etc to just random stuff, advertising and even just nice pictures. It usually always has the elephants eyes and trunk painted on too.

I googled for a picture and could only find a couple, could have sworn it used to have a facebook page.

Not sure if this link will work, this is it here  https://www.flickr.com/photos/enochpoint/3538010490/in/photostream/
