Anyone got any good ideas on how to prevent it.
My fringe and crown are starting to break and I want to stop it.

Go to your local supermarket and buy a jar of organic coconut oil. It is about $7 depending on the brand. It is solid but will turn into liquid on a hot day so keep it in a cool area. Simply put a small amount the size of a 10 cent coin in your hand and rub your hands together, then gently massage into your scalp. About 2min massage should do it. I do this before going to bed and wash it out in the morning. My hair has never been so healthy.
I have not used any bottles of conditioner for years! You just don't need to if you use organic coconut oil. I have blonde hair and was going white on the sides, the oil seems to have halted further white hair and I have regained some colour back in some spots. I'm hoping it goes all back to blonde.

I've also heard many many good things about coconut oil but never tried it for myself.... yet.
Prior to this I tried various commercial products, some expensive ones from health food stores but nothing even compares to coconut oil. The only commercial hair product I use now is organic baby shampoo, a small bottle costs me about $12 as I find it gentle on the scalp and does not cause me any irritation or excessive residue.

Your crowning glory is what nature has given you, and if you keep it clean and trimmd to a style that suits you, let it dry naturally, it will remain beautiful into old age.
I'll propably get killed here, but I am proud of my naturally white hair.

Last time I saw a newsreader with fuzzy hair was.........maybe late 70's ??
Have you tried any of the shampoos to prevent fuzzy hair?
Maybe instead of the straightener, you could use large curlers with special hair mousse and let your hair
dry naturally or use a dryer a little at the beginning. That way, you might be able to create soft curls without
the fuzziness. Soft curls are trendy atm.
