Hair breakage

Anyone got any good ideas on how to prevent it.

My fringe and crown are starting to break and I want to stop it.

Re: Hair breakage

Dreds cause hair breakage Poddster.  Right at the roots.  That's why they wear beanies.  To cover up the bald spots.

Re: Hair breakage

Crystal I straighten my hair with one of those hairdryers with a rotating brush at the end. I love it, dries hair quickly and not as much heat directly on the hair.

I used to use a straightener every day on my fringe until it blew up in my face ๐Ÿ˜•

Re: Hair breakage

Don't swap the at home straightener for chemical straightening at the hairdresser...kills the hair...and if it's in bad condition, it will break (I know this personally, I have wavy ringletty do what it feels like hair, and tried straightening at the hairdresser for it to be a disaster)

Best to stop the straightening for now to give your hair time to recover.

Coconut oil is a great suggestion here ๐Ÿ™‚ it works, it's gentle, it's natural and you don't need much. There are some shampoos that have it, check the ingredients next time you shop.
